A native of Southern California, Dr. Miller was interested in the field of dentistry from an early age, and he pursued this interest up until dental school, where he realized he wanted to specialize in oral surgery.
Dr. Miller finds it rewarding to have a positive effect on people, whether it’s relieving pain or making them smile. He enjoys the opportunity to help others and is passionate about delivering the highest quality care, which includes providing the safe administration of anesthesia, proper sterilization and infection control, and ongoing education and professional development for himself and his staff. Dr. Miller is committed to ensuring a positive experience for all patients and strives to make them comfortable by talking through their anxieties, explaining procedures, and encouraging questions.
Dr. Miller earned his bachelor’s and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degrees from the University of Southern California in 1989. Following dental school, he served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, where he practiced general dentistry for 3 years. Dr. Miller then moved to Florida, where he trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the residency program at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency in 1996 and moved back to California to begin practicing oral surgery in the private setting.
In 1999, Dr. Miller was certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), which holds him to the highest standards of patient care. He completed a rigorous peer evaluation process that included written and oral examinations to obtain his board certification.
Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family, baking, snow skiing, and hiking.
